Srinagar, Nov 03 (KINS): In a move to strengthen police accountability and ensure effective policing at the grassroots level, Inspector General of Police (IGP) Kashmir conducted a surprise night visit to Police Station Soura, accompanied by SP Hazratbal and SDPO Hazratbal.
During the visit, the IGP took a detailed review of the functioning of the police station, assessed its operational preparedness and examined various issues related to day-to-day policing.
Appreciating the alertness, dedication and hard work of the police personnel, he encouraged the staff to maintain high standards of professionalism, discipline and commitment while discharging their duties.
Emphasising the importance of public-centric policing, the IGP directed the officers and personnel to ensure prompt redressal of public grievances and make police services more accessible, responsive and citizen-friendly.
He stressed that effective policing must go hand in hand with public trust, accountability and timely service delivery.(KINS)
