Govt repatriates 3 SPs, Transfers 6 officers to ACB

Srinagar, Jan 16 (KINS): The government repatriated three JKPS officers from the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) to the Home Department and issued several other transfers within the department.

According to an official order, three Superintendents of Police (SPs)—Abdul Wahid Shah, Mohammad Rashid, and Rakesh Kumar—were repatriated from the ACB.

In a subsequent move, Deep Singh Jamwal, Manzoor Ahmad Mir, and Mamta Sharma, all JKPS officers, were posted to the Anti-Corruption Bureau from the Home Department, effective immediately.

Additionally, officers Javid Hussain Bhat, Mehmood Ahmad, and Abdul Qayoom were assigned to the ACB on a deputation basis.

Mohammad Saleem Bhat, who was promoted to Superintendent of Police, will continue to serve in the ACB as Additional Superintendent of Police on deputation from the Home Department.

The order also mentioned that Dr. Ashok Sharma, currently serving as SP in the ACB, has been relieved of his duties following his transfer to the CID, as per the Government Order No. 364-Home of 2024, effective immediately.(KINS)
