5 IAF personnel killed

Jorhat, June 13: Five Indian Air Force personnel were killed after an An-32 military transport aircraft crashed while landing at the Jorhat Air Force Station in Assam on Saturday.

According to officials, the co-pilot survived the crash and is undergoing treatment.

The deceased have been identified as Squadron Leader Prashant Singh, Flight Lieutenant Shubham Kumar, Sergeant Jitendra Sharma, Agniveervayu Khemaram Kumawat and Agniveervayu Danish Alam.

The Indian Air Force said the personnel “made the supreme sacrifice in the line of duty.”
