Srinagar, July 6 (KINS): Jammu and Kashmir reported fresh four COVID related deaths on Monday, taking the fatalities due to COVID19 in J&K to 137.
The latest fatalities include a BSF soldier, a 55-year-old woman from Uri, 56-year-old man from Budgam district and a 90-year-old resident of Tangmerg Baramulla.
Professor Farooq Jan, Medical Superintendent SKIMS Soura, told news agency Kashmir Indepth News Service (KINS) that a 55-year-old woman from Boniyar Uri died on Monday morning. “She was case of Rheumatic Heart Disease Associated with Congestive Cardiac Failure and Respiratory Tract Infection,” he said.
Professor Jan while sharing details of Budgam man who died of this virus, said a 56-year-old man from Budgam district was suffering “HTN, CKD and bilateral Community acquired pneumonia.” “The patient was also on dialysis as well. He expired today Monday morning at 4 am,” he said.
Dr. Saleem Tak, Medical Superintendent at CD Hospital told KINS that a 90-year-old man from Baramulla who was admitted on 26th June died during the night at around 2 am. The patient was suffering from Hypertension, bilateral pneumonia, and cardiac ailments, he said.
Meanwhile, on Monday a BSF soldier from 33 Battalion died at BSF Sector Headquarters in Panthachowk, official sources said.
With these fresh four deaths, the toll related to COVID-19 has reached to 137 in the union territory of Jammu and Kashmir— 123 from the Valley and 14 from Jammu division. (KINS)
