Athar Balpuri accorded warm and affectionate farewell on his retirement

SRINAGAR, SEPT 30 ( KINS): Athar Balpuri, a promising Folk/Qawali singer who superannuated today was given warm send off after completing his services in Cultural Unit Srinagar, DIPR.

Joint Director Information Kashmir Inam ul Haq Siddiqui appreciated his contribution in the department.

Cultural Officer Kashmir, Burhan Hussain remembered the dedication of outgoing employee Athar Balpuri who performed Folk songs, qawwali  besides other genres almost in every nook and corner of Jammu and Kashmir and outside too.

Syed Shakeel Shan said that Athar Balpuri is a versatile artist and he has made the department proud by his mesmerizing musical performances. Shan wished him a happy, healthy and prosperous post-retirement life.

Other employees including Mushtaq Saznawaz, GM Anzwali, G M Khanday, Muzamil Mehraj, Nighat Yasmeen and Mohammed Hussain also spoke about their colleague in an emotional manner. ( KINS)
