19 Local Militants Active In North Kashmir: DIG

Baramulla:
Deputy Inspector General of Police North Range Suleman Chowdary on Saturday said 19 local militants are active in the northern region of Kashmir.


He is a press conference that said that the number of militants has increased in the northern region of Kashmir with locals are getting involved more and more and the number has reached 19.


Chowdary said with security forces are alert and are ready to tackle any surprise from them.


DIG Baramulla accompanied SSP Abdul Qayoom other officials in Army and CRPF while sharing the details over the arrest of local militant Junaid Manzoor of Hizbul Mujahideen militant outfit in a press brief said a Naka was laid in Tapper area by a joint team of forces following special information and in the Naka, Junaid was apprehended on Friday.


DIG said one Chinese Pistol, 30 live rounds, and other ammunition were recovered from his possession.
