April 04: “`On the basis of qualifying the prescribed “Pre Promotion Course” (Lower Class), Inspector General of Police Kashmir Zone Shri Vijay Kumar-IPS has promoted 471 Sg. Constables of Executive Police having lien and seniority with Kashmir Zone, to the rank of Head Constables.
IGP Kashmir has felicitated the promoted officers and their families and has expressed hope that these newly promoted officers will strive to work hard for the interests of general public, maintenance of peace and tranquillity in the Union Territory of J&K.“`
