Communally sensitive pictures shared on Facebook, cyber police Jammu starts investigation

Police request people not to fall prey to the agenda of anti-social elements’

Srinagar, June 10 (KINS): The police here said that a few communally sensitive pictures have gone viral on social media, which seems to have been maliciously posted to create communal tension.

“In an incident involving facebook profile having photographs of communally sensitive nature, has gone viral on social media which seems to have been maliciously designed to create communal tension”, a senior Police Officer told news agency KINS, adding that in this matter cognizance has been taken and investigation has been started in Cyber Police Station, Jammu to unveil the truth. “People are requested not to fall prey to the agenda of anti-social elements. We assure strict legal action against the miscreants”, the officer said.

Meanwhile the police in a statement issued to KINS said that in this incident cognizance has been taken and investigation into the matter has started, to ensure strict action. (KINS)
