Div Com concludes 5-day tour of Rajouri & Poonch districts

Conducts extensive tour of border areas of Nowshera subdivision; holds interactions with border residents of Qila Darhal, Thandi Kassi

RAJOURI, NOVEMBER 19 ( KINS): Divisional Commissioner Jammu, Dr Raghav Langar concluded the five day extensive tour of frontier districts of Rajouri and Poonch after holding a series of meetings with the public representatives and people living in forward areas of Nowshera subdivision.

During the last leg of his visit, the Divisional Commissioner conducted an extensive tour of forward areas of LoC in the Nowshera subdivision. He held interactions with border residents and PRI members of Qila Darhal, Thandi Kassi.

The public of border blocks Qila Darhal and Thandi Kassi apprised the Divisional Commissioner about several issues and projected demands of their areas. They sought   construction of more border bunkers, macadamization of roads, up-gradation of schools, better healthcare services and other issues of public concern.

Dr Langer issued on the spot directions to the concerned officers for resolving the issues raised by the public. He directed the officers to expedite the progress on development works in these forward areas and work in close coordination with PRI members.

The Div Com assured that all their genuine concerns would be redressed in a time-bound manner. He said tours are being conducted to take the first-hand appraisal of the public grievances at their doorsteps so that plans and policies are formulated in consultation with the public and PRIs and the benefits of the Government initiatives percolate to the last beneficiary.

The Div Com was accompanied by ADDC Pawan Parihar; ADC Nowshera Sukhdev Singh Samyal; BDO Qila Darhal, Manmeet Kumar; BDC Khalid Firdos besides Panches sarpanches and locals of Qila Darhal and adjoining areas.

Meanwhile, the Divisional Commissioner paid obeisance to Veer Bandeshwar Temple located on the zero line.

Earlier in the day, the Div Com inaugurated a T-20 cricket tournament organised by district administration Rajouri in collaboration with Hill View Cricket Club.( KINS)
