ANANTNAG, SEPT 30 ( KINS) : Deputy Commissioner Anantnag Dr. Piyush Singla today flagged off a mobile publicity van of Field Outreach Bureau, Anantnag from Dak Bunglow Achabal. The publicity van moved across the rural areas of the district including Khundru, Chattergul, Renipora, Devipora, Chhatisinghpora and Ranbirpora making announcements encouraging people to get vaccinated and follow the COVID-19 appropriate behaviour (CAB).
The Bureau which comes under Ministry of Information and Broadcasting will be organising several Information, Education and Communication (IEC) activities post publicity announcements to sensitize the masses about different preventive measures for protection from COVID-19.
To counter the misinformation and myths surrounding the vaccination process, the bureau will be organizing Focussed Group Discussions (FGDs), distribute awareness material and banners to clear the doubts about the safety and efficacy of the vaccines. The bureau has also painted two murals/wall paintings – one each at Ranbirpora and Bijbehara displaying information about CAB.
Field Publicity Officer, Anantnag Sh. Shahid Mohammad Lone informed that FOB Anantnag will be organizing similar awareness programmes in Bijbehara and Pulwama in coming days. ( KINS)
