LG Manoj Sinha Lauds Record Voter Turnout in Phase-2 of Assembly Polls, Calls it a Testament to Vibrant Democracy

Srinagar, Sep 25 (KINS): Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir, Manoj Sinha, hailed the record voter turnout in the second phase of the Assembly elections, calling it a “shining example of a vibrant and progressive democracy.” He expressed appreciation for the efforts of election officials, the Jammu and Kashmir Police (JKP), and security forces in ensuring smooth, free, fair, and peaceful polling across 26 Assembly constituencies.
In particular, Sinha commended the voters in the districts of Reasi, Poonch, Rajouri, Ganderbal, Budgam, and Srinagar for their strong participation in the democratic process. “I applaud the spirit of the people to strengthen democratic values and to uphold our rich democratic traditions,” he stated, highlighting the people’s commitment to the electoral process despite challenges.(KINS)
