Srinagar,Nov 14: Maqsood-ul-Zamaan, IPS, Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of North Kashmir Range (NKR), visited the Police District (PD) Sopore to assess ongoing capacity-building programs aimed at enhancing operational preparedness and police training.
During the visit, DIG NKR supervised a competency test for the Special Operations Group (SOG) at the District Police Lines in Sopore. This evaluation was part of a focused effort to hone the skills of SOG personnel, ensuring they remain prepared to address evolving security challenges. DIG NKR emphasized the importance of continuous skill development to uphold high standards of operational effectiveness.
Beyond training assessments, the DIG also inspected newly developed facilities, including the Police Control Room (PCR), the D3C Room, and the Technical Room of the CCTV Command Center.
Following these inspections, DIG NKR led a meeting with senior officers, including SP Sopore Smt. Divya D (IPS), ASP Sopore Mir Murtaza (JKPS), and DySP DAR Sopore Dr. Hial Ahmed. Discussions focused on pressing security issues, ongoing training initiatives, and strategies for enhancing operational efficiency within PD Sopore.
