One Nation, One Election bill: Discussion in Parliament must be transparent, NC will decide and guide MPs on voting, says CM Omar Abdullah

KINS DESK
Srinagar, Dec 13 (KINS): Chief Minister Omar Abdullah has spoken out on the proposed ‘One Nation-One Election’ bill, stating the need for transparency and open debate in Parliament.
Addressing concerns over the process, he told reporters as per news agency KINS, “It hasn’t reached Parliament yet. It will be discussed in the House, and the discussion must be transparent; it shouldn’t resemble what transpired with Article 370 in 2019.”
Omar Abdullah highlighted the importance of an open conversation on the matter, ensuring that it is thoroughly deliberated.
He also mentioned that the National Conference (NC) will hold internal consultations to form a collective stance on the issue, before advising its MPs on how to vote during the parliamentary discussion.(KINS)
