DGP J&K Reviews Security Arrangements for Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra 2025 at DPL Udhampur

Udhampur, May 24 (KINS):In preparation for the upcoming Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra 2025, Director General of Police (DGP) Jammu and Kashmir, Nalin Prabhat (IPS), chaired a high-level joint security review meeting at District Police Lines (DPL), Udhampur to assess readiness and enhance inter-agency coordination.

The meeting was attended by DIG Udhampur-Reasi Range Sarah Rizvi (IPS), SSP Udhampur Amod Nagpure (IPS), Additional SP Udhampur, and senior officers from the District Police, CRPF, CISF, and Traffic Police.

During the session, SSP Udhampur presented a comprehensive security plan for the district, covering force deployment, convoy and traffic regulation, security at camps and langar sites, emergency response strategies, and the preparedness of Quick Reaction Teams (QRTs).

Addressing the officers, DGP Nalin Prabhat stressed the importance of seamless coordination among all security and support agencies to ensure an incident-free and smooth Yatra. He instructed that zonal and sectoral officers must be fully informed about the deployment and location of specialized units, including Drone Units, Bomb Disposal Squads, Dog Squads, and QRTs, to enable real-time response in any emergency situation.

He also emphasized that every officer assigned to the Yatra must be clear about their role and responsibilities, and strictly adhere to the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) laid out for the pilgrimage.

The meeting concluded with a joint resolve to ensure a safe, secure, and well-managed Yatra, through effective teamwork, vigilance, and proactive policing.(KINS)
