DG-P Nalin Prabhat Chairs High-Level Security Review Meeting at PCR Kashmir

Srinagar, July 19 (KINS): Director General of Police, Jammu and Kashmir, Nalin Prabhat, chaired a high-level hybrid security review meeting at Police Control Room (PCR) Kashmir on Friday. The session brought together top officials from J&K Police, Army, BSF, CRPF, SSB, ITBP, CISF, and other intelligence agencies to evaluate the prevailing security scenario, with a special focus on the ongoing Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra.

The meeting witnessed the participation of GOC 15 Corps Lt Gen Prashant Srivastava, GOC 9 Corps Lt Gen Rajan Sharawat, SDG Coordination SJM Gillani, ADsG of CRPF, CID, Armed Police, and IsGs from BSF, CRPF, ITBP, and other zonal wings including Kashmir and Jammu Zones, Security, Traffic, and Railways.

At the outset, the participating officers briefed the DG-P on the overall security challenges across the Union Territory. A comprehensive review of the current security situation was conducted, focusing on the coordinated efforts of all forces to ensure peace, stability, and the smooth conduct of the Yatra.

DG-P Nalin Prabhat emphasized the importance of seamless coordination among all security and intelligence agencies. He commended the Army and sister agencies for maintaining a robust counter-infiltration grid and providing critical support to civil authorities in sensitive regions. Their effective synergy with J&K Police, CAPFs, and intelligence agencies—especially in securing Yatra convoys and enhancing area domination—was widely appreciated.

Calling for enhanced vigilance, the DGP directed officers to maintain real-time coordination and operational synergy to effectively tackle emerging security threats. He also encouraged adoption of innovative strategies to deal with evolving challenges.

Concluding the session, the DGP lauded the unwavering dedication, professionalism, and resilience of the personnel operating in tough terrains and reaffirmed the commitment of the security forces to ensure a peaceful and incident-free environment across Jammu and Kashmir.(KINS)
