LG Addresses Shrimad Bhagwat Samagam at Mahakumbh

Srinagar, Jan 22 ((KINS): Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha addressed the Shrimad Bhagwat Samagam at Mahakumbh in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh, in the presence of Acharya Mahamandleshwar Swami Kailashanand Giri ji Maharaj. In his address, the Lieutenant Governor urged spiritual leaders, thinkers, and social leaders to unite in mind and heart, emphasizing the importance of contributing to nation-building. “Our primary objective should be to promote the unity of all mankind,” he stated.
He highlighted that Mahakumbh represents the confluence of spirituality, education, experience, and enlightenment, symbolizing India’s rich spiritual heritage, culture, and traditions. The event, he said, serves as a guiding light, with revered saints showing the way for virtuous living and selfless service.
Describing the Samagam as a doorway to the highest level of consciousness, the Lieutenant Governor noted that it is also a gathering of great personalities who lead various sectors of society. He called on religious heads, teachers, philosophers, and scientists to dedicate efforts toward passing on India’s spiritual legacy to the younger generation, inspiring them to contribute to the vision of a “Viksit Bharat” (Developed India).
The Lieutenant Governor praised the vision of ancient saints, philosophers, and teachers, whose principles of selfless service, brotherhood, equality, and universal values continue to inspire humanity. He urged for a mission-mode campaign to preserve and promote India’s ancient civilizational heritage.
He also emphasized the importance of using modern communication tools, including social media, to spread the teachings of meditation, yoga, and research on India’s cultural traditions globally. According to the Lieutenant Governor, the foundation of cultural and spiritual institutions should rest on three pillars: Education, Experience, and Enlightenment. This approach, he stated, will empower society, uplift all sections without discrimination, and build a strong, just, and self-respecting community.
Finally, he called upon the devotees gathered at Mahakumbh from around the world to act as ambassadors of India’s glorious culture, sharing its values and traditions far and wide.(KINS)
