NC MLA praises LG Sinha for safeguarding rights of forest dwellers, slams Forest Dept for ‘harassment’

Srinagar, Oct 28 (KINS): NC MLA Mian Mehar Ali on Tuesday praised Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha for protecting the rights of forest dwellers.
Mehar Ali, MLA from Kangan, said the Forest Department has been harassing forest dwellers without any reason.
“During the LG’s rule, there was no harassment of forest dwellers. However, since the elected government came to power, they are being harassed. These people have been living there and protecting the forests for over 50 years, but the Forest Department is troubling them without justification,” the NC MLA told the House according to news agency Kashmir Indepth News Service (KINS).
