5 year-old girl killed, 6 forces personnel, 10 civilians injured in Poonch border

Srinagar, April 01:A 5-year-old girl was killed and 17 others including 6 forces personnel were injured as India and Pakistan trade heavy shelling in many sectors of Poonch district.

An police official told news agency that Pakistani army opened fire and attacked several Indian army posts in Kerni and Krishan Ghati sectors today afternoon.

The officer said that the cross border shelling later also erupted at Mankote, Gulpur sector and Degwar.

A girl namely Sobia Shareef (05Year old) was killed and 10 civilians were injured in the shelling, the officer said, adding, five BSF men and an Army solidier also suffered injuries during the shelling.

All the injured were shifted to nearby hospital for treatment.(GNS)
