Jammu Crime Branch receives complaints in ‘Bike Boat’ Fraud case

Jammu, Aug 20 (KINS ) The Jammu Crime Branch likewise other parts of the country have also received complaints in the Rs 42,000 crore Bike Boat Fraud case that shook the country.

Thousands of people have lost their hard-earned money in the hands of the fraudsters involved in the scam at a Noida-based private company that promised good returns through a Ponzi scheme named ‘Bike Boat’.

“We have also received many complaints from people lured by the company,” Rajeshwar Singh, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Jammu Crime Branch told UNI.

Mr Singh said, ”So far, complaints from parts of the region like Jammu, Samba, Rajouri and Poonch districts have been lodged with the Crime Branch Jammu wherein they claimed that they have been duped at the hands of a private company.”

“We have initiated the investigation in this regard and have appealed to people who have been victim to this firm, to come forward and lodge a complaint for further action,” he added.

The company as per reports had spread its net in Jammu in the year 2017.
