The march, intended to reassure the public and ensure a fair, transparent, and peaceful electoral process.
A total of 1454 polling stations are undergoing extensive sanitization, while CCTV cameras have been installed to facilitate live webcasting to control rooms set up at district and CEO offices.
Furthermore, GPS systems have been implemented in vehicles transporting polling parties and sector officers to ensure efficient monitoring of their movements.
A total of 22 candidates are vying for victory in this electoral contest, with 2416 polling stations, including 158 along the International Border and Line of Control (LoC), set up to accommodate the 17.81 lakh eligible voters in the constituency.
