Altaf Bukhari grieved over student’s death in Nowgam mishap

Appeals Govt. to extend all possible support to his family

SRINAGAR, January 8: Former minister Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari has expressed deep shock and grief over the loss ofa 16-year-old student Tehseen Nazir who was crushed to death by a vehicle at Nowgam on Tuesday.

In a statement issued here, Bukhari conveyed his heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family and appealed the administration to extend all possible relief to the affected family.

“This road mishap has created an irreparable loss to a family that was already living in penury. My vehement appeal to the Lieutenant Governor is that the family that has loss its only son in this accident be extended all possible financial support so that its pain is eased to some extent,” Bukhari urged.

The former minister also demanded compensation for the shopkeeper who sustained injuries in this incident. Expressing solidarity with the bereaved family Bukhari prayed for eternal peace to the departed soul and endurance for the family, friends and their acquaintances.
