Green J&K Drive: PCCF inaugurates Sale of conifer plants


Srinagar March 08 (KINS): The Principal Chief Conservator of Forests and HOFF, J&K, today, inaugurated the sale of Conifer plants to the general public at PC Depot, Srinagar.
The plants are being made available to the people from quality planting stock available in forest nurseries. These plants will be planted by the people during the current spring season, in order to achieve the objectives of Green J&K Drive, 2020-21.
The conifer plants are being provided at carnival cost (Subsidized) of Rs. 13.50 per plant which have been raised in poly pot and maintained for 3 years by the forest department.
The Principal Chief Conservator Forests, HOFF also flagged off a vehicle for making such plants available to the public at their doorsteps. Such vehicles will be plying in all the territorial divisions of the valley for providing this facility.
Meanwhile, the Conifer plant sale is also being conducted at Headquarters of the Forest Department at Sheikh Bagh, Srinagar throughout the planting season. (KINS)
