Army organises music festival at Handwara


Srinagar, Dec 19 (KINS): The Army today said under the Flagship of ‘Kashmir-Ke-Sitare’, another Mega Music Festival was conducted at Handwara Degree College on Saturday.
Army in a statement issued to news agency KINS said that this “event was the culmination of Talent Hunt Competition organised previously across North Kashmir. Winners of the talent hunt contest including Sufi Singers, Rap Singers, Human Computer duo, Folk Dancers, Kashmiri Folk Singers & local youth singers performed at one of the largest platforms ever provided at Handwara. Audience included mostly youngsters of adjoining areas of Handwara, Langate & Rajwar”.
“The chief guest of the day Mr Hamid Mallah, District Forest Officer, Langate Forest Division, felicitated the artists at the end of the program. He also appreciated the talent presented by young artists. The event conducted on 19 Dec was a prelude to the major event planned on 20 Dec 2020, in which renowned Kashmiri singers including Kabul Bukhari, Waqar Khan, MC Musaaib, Gulzar Ganai & Shagufta along with other singers will be performing. The response of the crowd & their participation indicated their love for music & culture” the statement reads.(KINS)
